After seeing the crazy response to the secret to making your house smell like an Anthropologie store that I shared earlier this week, I realized I actually know a lot of little secrets about the shop. I used to work there in college (glory days, amirite?) and I picked up on all the good stuff employees are supposed to tell you about — but forget to most of the time. So I'm going to share everything I can remember with you, and to be completely transparent, I hope sharing this counts as my good karma for the week; I could def use some.

1. You can always get free shipping. ALWAYS.

Online, you qualify for free shipping when you spend $150 or more, but that's only if you're an AnthroPerks member. In store, shipping is always free. Yeeeep, that's right. All you have to do is ask a sales associate to order something for you online. They'll place the order right in front of you on one of the store's mobile devices. Sure, you have to drag your ass to the store for this perk, but you can save $6.95 or more (the more you spend at Anthro, the more you pay in shipping fees). Worth it.

Tip: Things go a lot faster if you know the SKU number of the item you want to order. You can find it online under item details.

2. You can get a coupon for your birthday.

Remember how I mentioned AnthroPerks members get free shipping online? They also get 15 percent off an entire purchase during the month of their birthday. It's even valid on sale items, so that's awesome.

3. You can return anything, at any time.

If you didn't know about Anthropologie's lax return policy, I'm about to rock your world. There is no time limit on returns at Anthro. Let me repeat that, no time limit. This comes in clutch when you need a few extra weeks to decide if that throw pillow really fits in with your living room decor, or if you bought someone a monogram mug for Christmas but forgot to give it to them (oops).

Just don't hang on to something for five years and then try to return it—I had a customer do that once while I was working; it wasn't cool.

4. Kim Kardashian keeps receipts, but you don't have to.

If the birthday coupon alone didn't convince you to sign up for the AnthroPerks program, this will. Anthropologie keeps a digital record of every receipt, in store or online, for Anthro members. So, whether you lost a receipt from two days ago or two years ago, it doesn't matter. Employees can use your name or phone number to look up your account and track down the receipt. This is really important for anyone who got hot and bothered reading about that flexible return policy.

FYI: Without a receipt you can still return items whenever you want for store credit, but you'll only be refunded the current selling price. So, if the $38 candle you bought six months ago is marked down to $12.95, that's all you're getting back. You don't want that. Just sign up for the program, okay?

5. Price adjustments are a definite possibility.

Keep an eye on Anthropologie.com, because if something you've purchased within the last 14 days gets marked down, you can get a price adjustment and be refunded for the difference.

6. There's a way to make your home smell exactly like Anthropologie stores.

Ever wonder how Anthropologie gets their stores to smell so damn good? Well, the secret's out (my bad). It's all about buying the right candles, which I've listed for you here.

7. Furniture in the store is for sale.

Ever needed to take a break and sit down on a big velvet couch in the middle of an Anthro shopping spree? That couch is probably for sale. Most of the display furniture throughout the store is on sale. If you see something you're interested in, ask an employee if it's up for grabs. Oh, and take a good look at the piece. Chances are you can get a damage discount on the item because hey, that couch has been sat on a million times.

8. You can also buy the window displays.

Most Anthropologie stores have an in-house art team that makes those gorgeous window displays you see every season. Usually, the team breaks down the displays when it's time to change them and recycles the materials for their next project. But, sometimes they don't need the materials.

If you're really into something you see hanging from the ceilings or on the walls, ask an employee if you can make an offer. If they take you up on it, the store typically donates the money to charity. It's a win-win.

9. You can put any item on hold.

Can't make it to Anthro today but really want to take advantage of that free shipping in store? Don't worry about it. If there's something you want and your local store has it in stock, you can call and ask them to set it aside for you. They'll keep it off the floor for 24 hours.

10. When you skip a bag, Anthropologie makes a donation.

If you're a fan of reusable bags, bring them to Anthropologie. When you choose not to use an Anthro shopping bag, the company donates 10 cents to charity. The charity changes from month to month, but it's always a good cause. Get that good karma!
